meet up with anyone who wants to come [May. 27th, 2013|07:33 pm]

Alicia Faith Sutton
I'm around Tupelo, MS and if you are in Tupelo or close to Tupelo I would love to meet up with who ever wants to. If you want to just send me a message and we can make a plan to go, and since its summer its a great time to schedule something like a group meet up at the mall or something. So yeah, if anyone is interested let me know!

Hi! [Jun. 27th, 2010|08:54 pm]

My name's Gabriel and I'm down on the Coast and looking for people to meet and just hang out with and to talk to about this sort of thing.  I'll be on that MS Rainbow Alliance meeting in July, the one in Gulfport, so maybe I'll see some y'all around?

Anywho, I guess that's about it since I've never posted on LJ before.

Is there a list of Trans-friendly endocrinologists? [Jun. 15th, 2010|09:33 pm]

I'm in need of some help from anyone listening. I'm at a stage in my therapy where I need to schedule an appointment with an endocrinologist soon. I have sent requests to endos in my area, only to rejected by virtually all because they "only cater to women."

I need to know if there is a list of professionals who are friendly to transgendered people. Distance is not an issue for me; I live in Mississippi, but I can't travel to see the doc if I need to.

This is very important for me, as I will not make any progress at all until I have an appointment. Thank you so much for your time.

Mississippi TG Support Groups: Are There Any? [Apr. 23rd, 2009|10:42 am]

[mood |hopefulhopeful]

I want to carry out a successful transition, and I want to make contact with other transgender individuals in my area. I live near the city of Hattiesburg, and I'm interested in locating a group in the southern part of the state. Are there are any transsexual, transgender support groups that you know of? The last time I looked, the only information I've found in the entire state has been out of date for years, and I want to know if there is anything new out there. I believe it's going to be an important thing for me and everyone else seeking help in this department.

If there is no support group that anyone here knows about, then how about starting up a new support group for our area?

Name Change Procedure [Apr. 20th, 2007|05:11 pm]

lokakuu85
I have called a law office in Mississippi, and inquired about the costs of seeking a legal name change. They informed that the cost would be close to 600 dollars. I'm just now getting out on my own financially, so this is well out of my price range. Is there another, much cheaper way to accomplish a legal name change? Could you tell me about some of the things that you did, if you accomplished this in Mississippi? I would really appreciate feedback from you all. Please let me know.

this is for the MTF out there. sorry FTM, your voice drops anyway....lucky bastards.

but for us, its hard to learn our new voice, and voice lessons can get expensive.
but, i forget where, I found this website. it offers free voice lessons and coaching! every two weeks they have a get together online using mic's and all practice together, while the coach selects people to be the center and practice.
